About Me
I started in 4H when I was 14 years old my friend Genevieve told me about the club she was in. I joined the local 4-H club and began working with my stray/mutt - Spider-Man. We completed multiple titles with him in both obedience and rally. Spider-Man was a street dog from good Ol' Alabama and had no manners, didn't want to listen and was a hard head. It took about a year and half to fully work and train the little guy. Spider-Man taught me to have patience, be a problem solver and figure out different solutions to get the job done.
One weekend my 4H leader took me to a AKC show and I showed Borzoi puppies and I became hooked on the sport. I was able to get my first show dog after about a year and decided on a Manchester Terrier (Toy) named Deacon. Deacon was a fun dog to show, he made me think outside the box to show him and make the ring a fun time. l have worked for multiple professional handlers who taught me about dogs large and small, Papillons to Great Danes, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Samoyeds and Dachshunds to name a few. I decided I wanted pursue this career and I am so thankful I have. I love seeing the smiling faces of the dogs looking up at me.
I believe every dog I show teaches me something- no matter how "easy" or "hard" the dog may be, even if I show them once or have shown them multiple times.
